Mr. Crosby is a member of the firm who practices in the firm's Daphne, Foley and Bay Minette offices. In 1973, Mr. Crosby graduated from the University of Virginia with academic distinction. He joined the firm after receiving his law degree from the University of Alabama School of Law where he was a member of the Bench and Bar Legal Honor Society, and Moot Court Board.
Mr. Crosby's practice emphasizes the areas of civil litigation, probate practice, trusts, wills, business law, guardianships, estates, real property and estate planning. He currently serves as a trustee of the University of Alabama Law School Foundation and serves on the Law School Executive Committee.
In 2006 Mr. Crosby was elected President Elect by the 15,500 members of the Alabama State Bar. Mr. Crosby's term of office as President of the Alabama State Bar began in July 2007 and will end in July 2008. He is only the second Baldwin County attorney in 130 years to serve as the state bar association president.
Mr. Crosby has served as President of the Baldwin County Bar Association and is a Life Fellow of the Alabama Law Foundation. Such a fellowship is based upon dedication to the legal profession and community and is limited to 1% of the state bar association.
Mr. Crosby has served as an adjunct professor at the University of South Alabama and is actively involved as a member of a local church and of various civic organizations.
He has also authored two books and numerous professional articles and columns. His book of humorous court stories, The Sleeping Juror, was published in 2002 by the Alabama Law Foundation and has raised over $34,000.00 for Kids' Chance Scholarships and indigent legal services. He has also served on the editorial boards of the Alabama Lawyer and Addendum.
He has served as a local municipal judge and is retired from the JAG Corps of the United States Naval Reserve. Mr. Crosby has served as an arbitrator and mediator in many cases and is a member of the Alabama Academy of Attorney Mediators.
In 2005 Mr. Crosby became one of five practicing lawyers in the state appointed at large to the Chief Justice's Commission on Professionalism.
