Department of Labor offers Guidance to Employers on Families First Coronavirus Response Act orders that Act is effective April 1, 2020.

Importantly, the DOL stated that the new law will take effect on April 1, 2020- not April 2, 2020 as originally expected. Employers should note that this is an initial and informal compliance assistance document from the DOL. These answers may change or be added to over time. In addition, per the recent Act, the DOL will be developing regulations that may definitively answer these questions.
